These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Tangled Alibis app and website. By using Tangled Alibis, you agree to these terms.

1. About Tangled Alibis

Tangled Alibis is an in-person party game built by Thompson Software. Players use their phones to receive secret stories and the shared screen shows public game state. The game is intended for social, in-person entertainment.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Tangled Alibis. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Accounts and identity

You do not need an account to play. If you choose to verify an email to unlock premium content, you are responsible for keeping that email secure. Your entitlements are tied to the verified email.

4. In-app purchases and subscriptions

• Theme packs. Premium theme packs are one-time purchases that unlock a new setting for the host. Only the host needs to own a pack; everyone else in the room plays for free.
• Host Club. Host Club is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks every premium theme pack while the subscription is active. It may be offered at different prices and billing periods depending on your platform.
• Billing. All purchases and subscriptions are processed by the platform you use: Apple App Store, Google Play, or Stripe on the web. Thompson Software does not collect or store payment card information.
• Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel through the subscription management settings of the platform where you purchased. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds. Refund requests must be made to the platform that processed the purchase (Apple, Google, or Stripe). Thompson Software cannot issue direct refunds for App Store or Play Store transactions.

5. User conduct

You agree not to use Tangled Alibis to harass, abuse, or harm others; to submit illegal content; or to interfere with the app's servers or other users. We reserve the right to remove access for violations.

6. Intellectual property

Tangled Alibis, its logos, theme packs, and game content are owned by Thompson Software. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the app or its content without permission.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Tangled Alibis is provided "as is." Thompson Software does not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Thompson Software will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted at this URL, and the "Last updated" date will be revised.
