About Tangled Alibis

A free, in-person party game for phones and a shared screen.

Tangled Alibis is a Jackbox-style, social-deduction party game. One player hosts a room on their phone, picks a theme pack, and shares the four-letter room code with the group. Everyone joins on their own phone, gets a secret story, and one player is secretly guilty. The room must figure out who is lying.

How it works

1. The host opens the app and creates a room.
2. Players join with the room code or by scanning the QR code on the shared screen.
3. Each player receives a secret story and, for one player, a guilty secret.
4. A rotating Investigator leads questioning and votes to eliminate a suspect.
5. Investigators win if they catch the guilty player. The guilty player wins if only three players remain.

Tangled Alibis runs on iPhone, iPad, Android, and any modern web browser. No console required. Use a TV, laptop, or tablet for the shared screen and everyone plays on their phone.

Premium theme packs

The base game is free for everyone in the room. Hosts can buy premium theme packs like murder mystery, heist, and office scandal to add new settings and story flavor. Subscription terms are available in the app and on the web.
